πŸ“š Book 13 of 2024 – Finished: The Woman in Me by Britney Spears (⭐3/5)

Note(s):

  • It was nice to hear the story of Britney from Britney herself
  • Not very well written, but not bad to listen to in the background
  • Didn’t know she released a remix with Elton John in 2022 on my birthday

Day 26: critter

I initially thought a critter is just a bug, and I was going to say that Cocoa has been told she looked like a bug. After consulting the dictionary, it looks like a critter is just an animal so this works perfectly. Hello world, meet Cocoa 🐢: my senior dachshund.

Day 25: spine

Some of the spines of these books are still in near-perfect condition because I haven’t gotten around to opening and reading them yet (or I decided to also get a Kindle copy). Oops.

🐘 I just joined Mastodon today and I have no idea what I’m doing. It looks similar to Twitter/Bluesky so the learning curve can’t be that bad, right?

Are there any tips, tricks and/or warnings anyone wants to send my way?

Oh yea, I guess you can follow(?) me here: social.lol/@jedda

Day 24: light

πŸ“š Book 12 of 2024 - Finished: What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall (⭐4/5)

My book club pick for April, finished at 2AM this morning.

Highlighted quote:

β€œThat’s the thing about trust, isn’t it?” Ethan said. β€œYou gather all the evidence you can, use your brain, weigh character and past actions. But the final inch of itβ€”that’s faith. Trust means believing in someone. It’s not just a conclusion. It’s a choice.”

Day 23: dreamy

I took a break from using Obsidian when I switched to Craft last year. Now, I’m using Obsidian to back up my posts in various social platforms and questioning why I ever left in the first place.

I absolutely love the freedom of offline, local first apps.

Day 22: blue

I have a ton of blue (sky) photos in my library but I figured I’d change things up and showcase the blue-ness of the water instead.

On sunny days, I can’t resist grabbing my camera(s). I’m always searching for beauty in the everyday, like blue skies and sailboats dancing on the water. Thankfully, it’s mostly always sunny in the Bay Area (CA), so it’s not super hard to do. Farmer’s Market Sundays in Marina Bay Park
